Bobbie “The Wonder Dog” traveled more than 2,800 miles from Walcott, Indiana where he was lost on August 15, 1023 to Silverton where he arrived to the delight of his family on February 15, 1924.  Silverton celebrates Bobbie’s amazing feat by honoring him with a mural and a special day of fun events.

Oregon Garden Brewfest

State Parks Day & Silver Falls Challenge Foot Race

Begin the day with a brisk dash over the creek and through the woods in our second annual 5K Footrace and Youth Development Run. Take advantage of our free one-night camping in regular tent and RV campsites. (Overnight reservation required; call 1-800-452-5687.) Day use fees are also waived this day only. Registration fee required for foot race.

Silverton Day Concert & Fireworks
Thursday, July 3 at The Oregon Garden, 879 W. Main St.  Silverton residents receive free admission to The Oregon Garden and fireworks. Admission charged to concert. Visit www.oregongarden.org for information on the concert and more.  The grove of ancient oak trees set the backdrop for breath-taking fireworks that look like glitter dancing in the sky.  The enchanting setting, music, food, and people make for a memorable day.

Al Faussett Days (Historic Silver Falls Days)

Commemorate daredevil Al Faussett’s plunge over South Falls in a canoe in 1926, during the Silver Falls City era. Activities include living history demonstrations, live music and presentations given by Al’s grandson, Mike Faussett, featuring original footage of the stunt.

Fall Festival at The Oregon Garden
