1. Anyone May Enter The Contest.
2. You may submit as many entries as you wish, but each must
be accompanied by its own entry blank and fee.
3. The entry fee is US $5.00 for each cartoon to be eligible
for prizes.
4. All overseas entries are not legible for monetary prizes
and no entry fee is required. Award certificates will be given.
5. Entry deadline: All entries must be received by 5:00 pm,
July 15, 2004.
6. Your entry must be original and unpublished. Good copies
of the original are acceptable. You may pick up your entry
after the contest is over.
7. Size: 8 1/2" by 11"; (21.59 x 27.94 cm) Maximum.
Use black and white only, No Color!.
8. Subject: Contemporary political, economic and social ideas
of interest; an "Editorial Cartoon".
9. Libelous, slanderous, racist or salacious entries will
not be accepted.
10. Basis for judging: The work should be artistic, original,
clearly making a point and, perhaps, making use of humor.
Judging: Entries will be prominently displayed
in the Silverton Art Center during the Homer Davenport Days
celebration, (first weekend in August). All prizes will be
determined by a blue ribbon panel of judges. Winners will
be announced Saturday at the festival.
Grand Prize, US $200.00
First Place, US $100.00
Second Place, US $50.00
Third Place, US $25.00.
